Putting ‘fun’ and ‘sing’ into ‘fundraising’

We are a barbershop quartet from Newent in Gloucestershire, formed originally in 2022 by Brian Greenwood (in red) and Andy Offord (in green) and two others who subsequently left the lineup to be replaced in 2023 by Vilnis Vesma in the blue corner, and Neil Turner (yellow) who joined us at the start of 2025.

“Barbershop” is unaccompanied four-part harmony (view a sample performance) comprising a lead (usually Vilnis), bass (Neil), tenor (Andy) and baritone (typically Brian). Brian is responsible for all our musical arrangements and puts in hours making audio tracks for each of us to practise with.

We sing for fun and charity. In 2024 we raised over £1,600 for Sheppard House daycare centre. In 2025 we supported the appeal for a skate-park in Newent, raising close to £900 (thanks to everyone in pub dining rooms, care homes, supermarket car parks, W.I. meetings, concerts and birthday lunches who  contributed so generously). This year we’re collecting for Newent’s fantastic ‘Sharing Kitchen’.

Please feel free to contact us with any enquiries.
